Children of the Flower Power

Here is my 5 star rating and review of the Children of the Flower Power by Carroll Bryant, http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/282049253.  It is a great summer read, but then it is great to read any time.

Leap Year Proposals

February 29th only comes around every 4yrs.  Apart from St Valentine's Day, it is supposed to be one of the other most romantic days, where the woman gets to propose to the man.  I have to admit, I thought about proposing to my other half even though we have been engaged for the past 5yrs.  If I thought it would make it move towards setting a date, I would have done it.  In his eyes, we are happy the way we are, why waste thousands of pounds on one day and a piece of paper to state the obvious.

I can see his point when he puts it like that, but it would be nice to have the wedding of my dreams.  Due to the fact that I have already been married and at the time it was the wedding of my dreams (well almost), I was the ripe old age of 19 and I made the biggest mistake of my life.  I had the big fairytale wedding that every little girl dreams of, only I wasn't marry Prince Charming.  Well, we all learn from our mistakes right?

I have had the practice run, but now I know how to do it right, only I also know it is a dream that will probably never become a reality.  Maybe he will surprise me one day and give me the Gothic wedding in a castle, I just hope I am not too old to walk down the aisle when that day comes.  Maybe we will just forever live as we do now.  Happy, together and in love.  Soppy I know, but I suppose why ruin a good thing.

On a happier note, a big congratulations and good luck to all those women who dis propose to their partners and got the answer they were hoping for.

Daydream Believer

Yesterday saw the sad passing of yet another music legend.  The forever young looking, Davy Jones of The Monkees.  At the very young age of 66yrs, Davy Jones fell asleep, but his his music and monkee antics will live forever in us.  Rest in Peace Davy Jones, you will always be our daydream believer.
